Six New Ski Flights Open Easier Routes to Europe’s Slopes

Crystal Ski Holidays is adding six TUI Airways flights for winter 2027/28, opening new direct links to ski regions in Austria, France, Finland and the Pyrenees. The programme expands access to several major winter destinations without requiring every holidaymaker to start the journey at one of the UK’s largest airports, while also adding new options for both Alpine skiing and Lapland breaks.
Where the New Ski Flights Will Go
- Belfast–Innsbruck: Weekly, 20 December 2027–4 March 2028.
- Bournemouth–Innsbruck: Weekly, 20 December 2027–4 March 2028.
- East Midlands–Innsbruck: Weekly, 20 December 2027–4 March 2028.
- Newcastle–Toulouse: Weekly, 19 December 2027–5 March 2028.
- Newcastle–Chambéry: Weekly, 21 December 2027–1 April 2028.
- Bristol–Kuusamo: New for winter 2027/28; frequency has not yet been published.
- Airline: TUI Airways.
The flights will be sold through Crystal Ski Holidays as part of packages that include accommodation and resort transfers. Exact departure times have not yet been published for all six services, so schedules will need to be checked for individual dates. The choice of arrival airport also matters because each gateway serves a different group of resorts, and transfer times can vary considerably depending on where the holiday is based.
Innsbruck gives access to Austrian resorts including Mayrhofen, Sölden, Obergurgl and Seefeld. Chambéry is useful for Méribel, Courchevel, Val d’Isère, Tignes and Les Menuires. Toulouse serves trips towards Andorra, including Soldeu, Pas de la Casa and Arinsal, as well as Baqueira-Beret in Spain. Kuusamo is the gateway for Ruka and other winter trips in Finnish Lapland.
The new flights are most useful when the arrival airport matches the resort. A direct regional departure can save the trip to a larger UK hub, but a poorly matched gateway may simply shift that time to a longer coach transfer abroad. Anyone comparing the new options should check both the UK departure airport and the transfer time to the chosen resort before deciding which package gives the shorter journey.
