ITA Airways Joins Miles & More Network in April

From 1 April 2026, ITA Airways will join the Miles & More loyalty programme, marking a further step in its integration into Lufthansa Group. Passengers travelling with the Italian airline will be able to collect miles and Points within one of Europe’s largest frequent flyer programmes. The move links ITA Airways customers to a global network covering airlines, hotels, car rental providers and retail partners.
Miles & More members will gain access to 35 airline partners and more than 135 additional partners worldwide. Miles can be earned on Lufthansa Group airlines, Star Alliance carriers and other participating airlines, then redeemed for flights, upgrades and selected travel services. Registration will be available through ITA Airways’ website and mobile app, allowing customers to participate in the programme across the airline’s network.
"The ITA Airways customers will get access to an industry-leading program, which will further expand its excellent position and create additional synergies for its worldwide customer base. ITA Airways has made the strategic decision to use Miles & More as a large and globally anchored loyalty program and to offer its customers a worldwide route network for earning miles in the future. ITA Airways will thus integrate further into our Lufthansa Group airline commercial powerhouse."
Key programme features from April
- Miles can be earned on ITA Airways flights
- Access to 35 airline partners worldwide
- More than 135 hotel, car rental and retail partners
- Points available for frequent flyer status levels
- Status match option for existing ITA Airways members
- Redemption options include flights and travel rewards
The partnership expands the range of airlines where miles can be collected and used, particularly across European routes and long-haul connections. Access to a broader loyalty network may make it easier to combine flights with partner airlines while maintaining the same rewards account. Hotel stays, car rental bookings and selected purchases can also contribute to mileage balances within one programme structure.
Bringing ITA Airways into Miles & More increases the scale of the programme, which already includes around 39 million members. A shared loyalty system across several airlines may simplify travel planning, especially when itineraries involve different carriers. Members can also collect miles through hotel bookings, car hire and selected purchases, not only flights.
