Fresh Air Connections From Bratislava Offer New Options for Regional Travel

Bratislava Airport is preparing for notable changes in its route structure as new domestic and international connections are introduced ahead of the 2026 season. The renewed Bratislava–Košice service now operates daily, supplemented by additional departures on selected days. This route provides an alternative to cross-country rail or road travel by offering a short, predictable flight schedule. The reinstated link is intended to support regular movement between western and eastern Slovakia for work-related, academic and essential personal travel needs.

Further adjustments to the airport’s network will take effect at the beginning of 2026, when flights to Yerevan and Kutaisi start operating three times per week. The introduction of these routes follows the decision to base additional aircraft in Bratislava, which gives airlines more room to modify and expand their schedules. As additional routes appear, travelers will be able to reach several destinations directly from Bratislava without first passing through major airports in neighboring countries.

The new route to Yerevan offers travelers a direct link to a city known for its rich history, dense urban development, and easily accessible cultural attractions. Visitors often start exploring Yerevan at its central square, the Cascade complex or nearby museums, where it is easier to grasp how the city and the wider region have evolved over time. Areas outside the city give visitors access to monasteries, archaeological sites and varied scenery shaped over centuries. Flights to Kutaisi open up access to western Georgia, where several famous natural and cultural attractions are concentrated within a short distance. Its position near several well-known sites makes it convenient for travelers to spend part of their visit in the city and the rest exploring nearby cultural or natural attractions.
