New Avani+ Hotel Planned for Vientiane

Minor Hotels has announced plans to open Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, a new lifestyle hotel scheduled to welcome guests in the second quarter of 2026. The property will become the company’s second hotel in Laos, joining Avani+ Luang Prabang. The opening marks another step in the group’s expansion in Southeast Asia, where destinations such as Laos are drawing growing interest from international visitors.
The hotel will stand on Fa Ngum Road in Vientiane, around fifteen minutes by car from Wattay International Airport. The location places the property close to the Mekong River and several government and commercial districts. Minor Hotels says the project is designed to serve both business visitors and holidaymakers as the Laotian capital strengthens its role as a regional travel gateway.
Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will include 197 guest rooms, ranging from standard accommodation to larger suites and a presidential suite. Interiors will focus on practical layouts and contemporary styling. The hotel will also feature several dining venues, a café and a bar designed to attract both hotel guests and residents of the city, creating a social space that connects the property with the surrounding neighbourhood.
Facilities planned at Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane
- 197 guest rooms and suites
- Four dining venues, including a café and a bar
- AvaniSpa with treatment rooms and relaxation lounge
- AvaniFit gym and wellness studio
- Outdoor swimming pool
- Lanexang Hall ballroom for up to 320 guests
- Additional meeting rooms and outdoor event lawn
The new hotel will also make it easier for visitors to explore Vientiane’s main attractions. The riverside promenade along the Mekong, the golden Pha That Luang stupa, Patuxai monument and the city’s markets and temples are all within reach. Together with Avani+ Luang Prabang, the project adds another base for travellers interested in Laos’s cultural heritage and slower-paced cities.
