Norwegian will restore direct flights linking Aalborg with London Gatwick starting 2 April 2026, bringing back a route long requested in northern Denmark. The service will run twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, and is aimed at both leisure and business demand. Tickets are already on sale, with one-way fares starting at 299 Danish kroner, making early planning possible for spring travel.

The return of the London connection gives North Jutland a non-stop link to one of Europe’s busiest cities after a period without direct air access. Flights are scheduled to fit short breaks as well as working trips, with evening departures from Aalborg and afternoon returns from London. Local airport officials describe the route as an important step for regional connectivity and economic links.

Norwegian says the route strengthens its presence at Aalborg Airport, where the airline already operates frequent services to Copenhagen and a range of southern European destinations. London adds a major city market to that mix, responding to consistent demand for direct access without transfers. The airline positions the service as part of its wider focus on simple, point-to-point routes across Denmark.

What becomes easier to reach

  • Central London districts via Gatwick rail links
  • Cultural venues, theatres and museums year-round
  • Short business trips tied to the UK market
  • Weekend city breaks during Easter and spring

These options become more practical with fixed, twice-weekly departures.

The relaunch signals a return to straightforward regional flying rather than network complexity. A short route, clear timetable and competitive pricing point to reliability over novelty. For many planning ahead, the Aalborg–London service restores a familiar option that fits easily around work calendars and long weekends, showing how selective routes can still play a key role in regional air travel.
