BER Adds Flight Booking to Its Own Website
Berlin Brandenburg Airport has added a new flight booking service to its website and app, allowing users to search, compare and buy air tickets worldwide in one place. The airport has integrated a platform provided by Kiwi, giving people another digital tool for planning trips before they arrive at the terminal or finalise transport details.
The new function sits alongside BER’s existing online services, including arrivals and departures information, parking reservations and premium options such as airport lounges. Users can browse a broad range of flight connections through the newly added booking platform, making it possible to organise several parts of a journey through the airport’s own digital channels.
Kiwi provides the technology behind the comparison and booking system and gives access to airline offers through the platform. BER’s role is limited to acting as an intermediary. The actual booking contract is made either with Kiwi or with the airline operating the flight, depending on the offer chosen during the booking process.
The service could be useful for people planning trips through Berlin, especially those looking at long-haul connections, weekend breaks or multi-city journeys. It may also make it easier to compare routes to places such as Rome, Barcelona, Istanbul or New York while checking airport services like parking or lounge access in the same planning session.
The change does not alter how flights operate at BER, but it does make the airport’s website more practical as a starting point. Instead of using it only to check times or terminal details, travellers can now use it earlier in the planning process. The key point: compare the offer, check the booking partner, and read the terms before paying.
