Beond Airlines Launches New Zurich-Dubai Flights
Beond Airlines, the premium leisure airline, has announced a new flight route between Zurich and Dubai, providing additional options for business and leisure travelers. The airline, known for its premium all-lay-flat seating and onboard amenities, received approval to operate between these two cities.
Beond's CEO and Chairman Tero Taskila noted that this connection aligns with the company's business model, catering to customer demand. He mentioned that travelers from Zurich are interested in Dubai's resort and tourism attractions, while those from Dubai are drawn to Zurich's leisure activities and natural beauty.
The airline operates under a fifth freedom flight authorization, allowing it to carry passengers between countries other than its home base in the Maldives. This new service is facilitated by agreements with the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) and Swiss authorities. It will operate between Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and Zurich International Airport (ZRH), with flights scheduled twice a week.
Flight times from Dubai are set for 02:00 on Tuesdays and Fridays, arriving in Zurich at 07:00 and 20:50, respectively. Return flights from Zurich depart at 16:30 on Tuesdays and 21:50 on Fridays, reaching Dubai at 00:35 and 05:55, respectively.
Beond's launch of this route is accompanied by attractive fare offers, with round-trip tickets starting at CHF 1,999 for Zurich-Dubai and AED 8,100 for Dubai-Zurich, including taxes. This follows the airline's recent inaugural flight from Dubai to Malé, Maldives, and the arrival of a second aircraft, an Airbus A321 currently undergoing refurbishment. Additionally, Beond plans to launch flights from Milan to Malé in July.
