Direct London to Seoul Flights Expand Asian Travel Options

Virgin Atlantic has launched a daily direct flight between London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon, strengthening links between the UK and South Korea. The service began on 29 March 2026 and operates on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline is currently the only British carrier flying this route, adding a non-stop connection to a destination known for its cultural influence, technology sector and growing international visitor numbers.
The new route forms part of Virgin Atlantic’s expansion across Asia, following network growth in India and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Through cooperation with Korean Air and other SkyTeam partners, passengers arriving in Seoul can continue journeys to several destinations across North-East Asia and the Pacific. The airline offers three travel classes on the route, with onboard services adapted to reflect Korean cultural elements.
Meals on board include Korean-inspired dishes alongside international options, and the entertainment selection features Korean films and TV programmes. The route is also used for cargo transport between the UK and South Korea, supporting trade between the two countries. Representatives from the airline and airport marked the first flight arrival in Seoul during an official welcome event.
