Vilnius Keeps Berlin Flights Through Winter
airBaltic will keep its Vilnius–Berlin service running in the 2026/27 winter season, turning the route into a year-round link between Lithuania and Germany. The decision keeps a direct option in place after the summer schedule, giving passengers a steadier connection for city breaks, work trips and visits to friends or family without needing to connect through Riga, Warsaw or another hub.
How the Winter Route Will Work
- Airline: airBaltic
- Route: Vilnius–Berlin
- Winter season: 2026/27
- Winter frequency: up to twice weekly
- Winter flight days: Thursdays and Sundays
- Summer frequency: up to three times weekly
- Summer flight days: Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays
- Fares: from €59 in Economy and €209 in Business, one way
The route also sits within airBaltic’s wider Lithuanian programme. This year, the airline offers 20 direct destinations from Vilnius, alongside flights from Palanga to Riga and Amsterdam. Berlin remains a useful point on that map because it combines business demand, cultural appeal and strong onward rail and air connections across Germany and the rest of Europe.
The winter extension makes Berlin easier to plan beyond the usual summer travel window. Visitors can use the route for museums, concerts, Christmas markets, trade fairs and onward trips across Germany. For German travellers, Vilnius stays reachable for old town weekends, food trips and Baltic connections, while Lithuania’s winter season becomes less dependent on indirect flights.
Two winter flights a week will suit travellers who can plan around fixed departure days rather than needing daily flexibility. Thursday and Sunday services fit a long weekend in Berlin or Vilnius, while also keeping a direct option for work trips and family visits after the summer timetable ends.
