Ryanair Adds Bari and Boosts Bristol Routes for 2026
Ryanair has unveiled its Summer 2026 schedule at Bristol Airport, confirming 36 routes including a new service to Bari. The airline will also increase frequencies on eight existing routes, covering well-known holiday and city break destinations. The programme is supported by five Bristol-based aircraft, representing a $500 million investment linked to the carrier’s operations in the South West.
Flights to Alicante, Malaga, Barcelona and Prague are among those set to see additional services next summer. The expanded timetable aims to provide more regular departures on established routes while introducing Bari as a fresh option. Tickets for the full Summer 2026 schedule are already on sale through Ryanair’s app, with lead-in fares advertised from £29.99.
“It’s great news for our customers that Ryanair are launching a new route to the Italian coastal town of Bari, which is sure to become a firm favourite with its beautiful promenade, historic centre and nearby beaches. And with more frequent flights added to other holiday hotspots, there is even more opportunity and greater choice for people to fly from their local airport."
Bristol Airport said the new Italian connection is expected to attract strong interest, particularly given Bari’s coastal setting and historic centre. The airport also welcomed the increased frequencies to Spain and other European cities, noting that more regular flights can help spread demand across the week and offer greater flexibility when choosing departure dates.
What’s new for Summer 2026
- New route to Bari
- Extra flights to Alicante and Malaga
- Increased services to Barcelona and Prague
- 36 routes in total from Bristol
The changes mean more direct European flights from Bristol, reducing the need for many people in the South West to travel via London.
For those based in Bristol and the surrounding region, the update reinforces the airport’s position as a key gateway for Mediterranean breaks and European city trips. Earlier access to tickets may also benefit those planning ahead for peak summer dates. With more seats and an extra destination, travellers have a broader spread of choices departing closer to home.
