LOT Adds a Northern Lights Route
LOT Polish Airlines has opened sales for a new seasonal Warsaw–Tromsø service for its 2026/2027 winter schedule. The route gives Poland a direct link with one of northern Norway’s best-known Arctic bases, used by visitors for northern lights trips, winter scenery and outdoor activities. Tromsø sits far above the Arctic Circle and is often called the Gateway to the Arctic.

Tickets are available through LOT’s official sales channels, with no starting fare announced in the release. The service is seasonal rather than permanent, ending on 13 February, so the available dates are limited to the winter travel window. LOT is positioning the route around Arctic nature, outdoor activities and Scandinavian culture, with Tromsø strongest during the northern lights season.
The route puts Tromsø’s winter sights within easier reach without an extra transfer. In the city, Polaria combines a museum, aquarium and Arctic research centre, while the Arctic Cathedral remains one of its best-known landmarks. Nearby Kvaløya adds fjords, villages and hiking routes, and the region’s Sámi reindeer-herding tradition gives visitors a clearer sense of Arctic culture beyond the aurora.
A direct Warsaw service makes Tromsø easier to plan for both short breaks and longer stays, depending on dates and budget. Travellers can build the trip around aurora tours, Arctic museums, fjords, reindeer experiences or family visits in Norway, then book through the LOT once the fare, baggage rules and winter plans line up instead of adding another airport transfer.
