Jet2 has expanded its Summer 2026 programme to Greece, adding close to 30,000 extra seats across four popular island destinations. The additional capacity reflects continued demand from UK holidaymakers planning peak-season trips. New flights will operate between July and September 2026, strengthening Jet2’s presence on routes where availability has been tight during the height of the summer travel period.

The extra seats will be offered on services to Crete (Chania), Crete (Heraklion), Kos and Santorini, departing from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and London Stansted. With the added capacity, Jet2 remains the largest UK airline operating flights to Greece for Summer 2026. The programme covers 15 destinations, including mainland airports and a wide range of island routes.

“Greece is an enormously popular destination, and it continues to appeal to customers and independent travel agents looking to enjoy some much-needed sunshine. As the UK’s favourite airline and tour operator, we know just how much holidaymakers love these Greek destinations, and we are delighted to be once again stepping in to meet demand. Summer 26 will be our biggest ever summer programme to Greece, and we are cementing our position as the UK’s largest airline from the UK to sunshine favourite by putting on even more flights."
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays

According to Jet2, the decision follows strong forward bookings and consistent interest in Greece as a reliable summer option. The expansion builds on an already large programme that will see more than 3.5 million seats on sale and over 360 weekly departures at peak points. Several of the added services also reinforce routes where Jet2 is the sole operator, increasing choice on limited-capacity links.

Additional Summer 2026 services by airport

  • Birmingham: Extra weekly flights to Crete (Chania) on Wednesdays and Santorini on Thursdays
  • Leeds Bradford: Additional Saturday flights to Kos
  • London Stansted: Extra weekly Sunday flights to Crete (Chania)
  • Manchester: Added Wednesday and Friday flights to Crete (Heraklion), creating two daily services on those days

The extra flights open up easier access to familiar places such as Santorini’s caldera towns, Crete’s coastal resorts and historic cities, as well as Kos, which continues to attract shorter stays. More departure days spread across the week remove the need to plan around fixed schedules, making it simpler to organise longer holidays, quick summer breaks or trips during school holidays.

The move follows strong booking activity seen well ahead of the 2026 season. Increasing seat numbers on established routes eases crowding during peak summer weeks, particularly at large regional airports where demand is highest. Travellers planning Greece next year face fewer compromises on travel dates and are less likely to reshape plans around limited flight availability.
