In the UAE, students can avail themselves of a discount offered by two airlines in the country

Emirates and Etihad Airways offer special deals for students. Consequently, students can avail discounts on airline tickets, extra baggage, and enjoy more flexible booking options.

These benefits are exclusively designed for full-time students of international universities. Gulf News provided details on what the airlines specifically offer and the conditions for receiving the discount.

Emirates

The airline provides a 10% discount on economy class fares and a 5% discount on business class fares until March 31 of this year. Students are entitled to an additional 10 kg of luggage or one extra piece, except for travel to or from Canada and the United States. To purchase tickets at the discounted rate, one must enter the promo code STUDENT during booking and present a student ID card or enrollment letter during check-in. This offer is applicable for students aged 16 to 31.

Etihad Airways

This company also offers a 10% discount on economy class and 5% on business class. To take advantage of the discount, individuals need to become a member of the Etihad Guest loyalty program by registering on the website. Following that, students aged 18 to 32 can provide all necessary details and book a discounted ticket. The offer is valid until June 30.
