Heathrow has confirmed a new set of routes for spring and summer 2026, adding links across Europe, Asia and North America. The list includes Rome, Seattle, St Louis, Seville, Tivat, Guernsey, Islamabad and Lahore, as airlines expand their schedules through London’s main hub in response to steady demand for both leisure and business travel.

Several airlines are behind the new services. ITA Airways will operate double-daily flights to Rome, while Alaska Airlines introduces a daily service to Seattle. British Airways is launching routes to St Louis, Guernsey and Tivat, including the only direct UK connection to St Louis. Pakistan International Airlines is returning to Heathrow with flights to Islamabad and Lahore.

“Every route launched from Heathrow gives passengers and businesses a new way to explore the world. Whether travelling for work or leisure, we are proud to collaborate with our airline partners to open up opportunities for passengers, exporters and importers. Greater connectivity is something passengers and businesses consistently say they want, which is why Heathrow expansion is so critical. It will add new routes and introduce more choice. Our plans will ensure the country gets the infrastructure it needs to stay competitive, connecting the whole of the UK to global growth."
Ross Baker, Heathrow’s Chief Customer Officer

The expansion follows a period of strong passenger growth at Heathrow, which handled 84.5 million travellers in 2025. The airport also recorded its busiest February on record, underlining steady demand. The new routes add more choice across both long-haul and short-haul travel, while reinforcing Heathrow’s role as a major connection point within the network.

New routes launching for summer 2026

  • Rome – ITA Airways (double daily)
  • Islamabad & Lahore – Pakistan International Airlines
  • Seville – Vueling (daily)
  • St Louis, Guernsey, Tivat – British Airways
  • Seattle – Alaska Airlines (daily)

These additions open up a wider range of travel ideas. Seville brings easier access to Andalusian cities, while Tivat opens a direct route to Montenegro’s Adriatic coast. Seattle provides entry to the US West Coast and onward links, and St Louis adds a direct route into the American Midwest. Rome and Pakistan routes support both tourism and visiting friends and family.

The update shows how Heathrow continues to build its network across different regions at once. Instead of focusing on a single market, routes are spread between Europe, North America and Asia. This gives more flexibility when planning trips and keeps London well connected to both major cities and smaller destinations across the globe.
