Etihad Airways Expands North American Services with New Daily Flights

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has announced significant updates for the North American market ahead of the winter travel season. Starting from October 27, Etihad will increase its nonstop flights between Boston and Abu Dhabi to daily service, enhancing options for corporate and leisure travelers.

The increase to daily flights from Boston is based on the route’s strong performance since its launch just three months ago. This move is expected to provide greater flexibility for passengers traveling to the UAE, the Gulf region, and the Indian subcontinent.

"Our Boston service has been highly successful, with near-capacity flights since our inaugural journey in March," said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad. "With record passenger demand, we’re excited to expand our North American operations by increasing our flight frequency from Boston."

The Boston-Abu Dhabi route will be serviced by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, featuring 28 Business Studios and 262 Economy Smart seats, equipped with entertainment systems, in-seat power, and in-flight Wi-Fi. This setup ensures a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers.

Etihad’s schedule is designed to offer convenient connections for both corporate and leisure travelers to numerous destinations across the UAE, the Gulf region, and India. The airline’s partnership with JetBlue further enhances connectivity across North America, making it easier for travelers to explore the continent.

Additionally, Etihad will begin daily flights to Toronto Pearson Airport using its Airbus A350 from October 27. This aircraft, known for its efficiency and comfort, features 44 Business Studios with enhanced privacy and fully flat beds, as well as state-of-the-art amenities like wireless charging docks and Bluetooth headphone pairing.

The Airbus A350’s introduction to Toronto reflects Etihad’s strategy to meet growing customer demand and expand its network. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the A350 boasts 25% less fuel burn and CO2 emissions compared to previous models.
