Dubai Reveals Invite-Only Rewards for Returning Tourists
Dubai is preparing a new loyalty club for repeat visitors, offering perks that go beyond the usual rewards tied to one hotel or airline. The invitation-only Dubai Access Club is intended to give returning holidaymakers access to special experiences and services across the city. Another change is planned for tourists who need a visa, potentially making the paperwork easier to arrange alongside their holiday plans.
The programme is scheduled to launch in November, with a form on Visit Dubai that asks for employer or loyalty-program details rather than accepting direct membership applications. Dubai also plans to introduce single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visa applications on its tourism website. The service is not live yet, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) will still assess applications and issue visas rather than the tourism platform.
Dubai Tourist Rewards and Visa Details
- Launch: November; exact dates unannounced.
- Club: Invitation-only for repeat visitors; registering interest guarantees nothing.
- Perks: Experiences and services; discount amounts and refund terms unconfirmed.
- Visa portal: Single- and multiple-entry applications; marked "Coming soon".
- Apply now: 30/60-day visas through authorised agents or airlines; five-year visas through GDRFA.
- Visa fees: Current GDRFA base fees are AED 200/300 for 30/60-day single-entry, AED 300/500 multiple-entry, plus 5% VAT.
- Other costs: Agency charges may vary; no new portal fees announced.
British passport holders already receive a free visa on arrival for visits totalling up to 90 days within 180 days, so most will not need the new application service. Other nationalities can check their eligibility on Visit Dubai. Existing applications typically require a passport valid for six months, a photograph, health insurance and travel documents; the website gives an approximate processing time of 48 hours.
The club could appeal to regular visitors who book hotels and attractions in Dubai several times a year, but its value is still impossible to calculate. Some reports mention spending credits and bundled visas, yet Dubai's official announcement does not confirm those benefits or a membership price. Until full terms are available, holidaymakers should not assume the new application website means lower visa fees or faster approval.
