Air New Zealand has introduced a distinctive travel option for seafood enthusiasts with a tailored flight offering to the Bluff Oyster & Food Celebration. Scheduled for the twenty-fourth of May, two thousand twenty-five, this package includes return flights between Auckland and Invercargill, entry to the festival, and transportation between Invercargill and Bluff. Reservations for this exclusive opportunity will open at nine o’clock in the morning on Friday, the twenty-second of November, two thousand twenty-four, via the airline’s Grabaseat website.

The one hundred seventy-one-passenger Airbus A320 is set to leave Auckland at seven-thirty in the morning, ensuring guests reach Invercargill by nine thirty-five to fully partake in the day’s activities. The evening flight back will depart Invercargill at five-thirty, allowing attendees to return to Auckland by seven-thirty. This arrangement offers a streamlined experience for festival participants, eliminating the need for overnight stays or complex itineraries.

The Bluff Oyster & Food Celebration is an iconic event within Southland’s annual schedule, honoring the region’s seafood traditions, particularly its famed Bluff oysters. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy an extensive selection of local dishes, including blue cod, crayfish, paua (abalone), and scallops, alongside craft ales and New Zealand’s renowned wines. With live performances and a welcoming atmosphere, the festival continues to be a standout occasion for both locals and travelers.

For adventurers, this initiative offers an effortless way to attend one of New Zealand’s top culinary events. The option of a same-day trip reduces common travel hurdles, making it simpler for those from the North Island to explore the Southland region’s cultural and culinary heritage. This convenience is anticipated to draw in food enthusiasts and cultural aficionados alike.

Air New Zealand’s innovative approach to creating curated travel packages highlights how airlines can forge stronger connections to regional landmarks. This dedicated flight not only facilitates festival attendance but also promotes Southland’s unique attractions, encouraging further exploration of this vibrant part of the country.
