Aer Lingus has announced the cancellation of flights from June 26th to June 30th due to industrial action by IALPA. The strike, targeting the peak summer travel period, aims to cause significant disruption for passengers. In response, Aer Lingus has proactively cancelled 24 flights daily over the five days, affecting a total of 124 flights. This decision impacts approximately 4,000 passengers per day, totaling around 20,000 passengers throughout the period.

The airline is working to minimize the disruption by automatically rebooking some customers on alternative flights. Additionally, affected passengers have been notified via email about the cancellations and provided with options to change their flights for free, request a refund, or receive a voucher.

While Aer Lingus aims to keep cancellations between 10% and 20%, the nature of the industrial action may lead to further cancellations close to travel time. The list of cancelled flights is available on the Aer Lingus website under the 'Travel Advisory' section.

Notably, Aer Lingus Regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines, with flight numbers ranging from EI3000 to EI3999, are not affected by the strike and will operate as scheduled. This ensures some continuity in services despite the broader disruptions.

As the situation evolves, Aer Lingus continues to prioritize communication with its customers, aiming to provide timely updates and support during this period of industrial action. Passengers are encouraged to check the status of their flights and consider their options promptly to avoid further inconvenience.
