Travelling to different cities and countries can be a very interesting cultural experience. In this diversity, travellers can notice the difference in food consumption culture, the peculiarities of preparing simple foods in a completely different way, or the taste preferences in different countries.

Travelling in Europe can help you to get a certain impression of the countries and look into their essence through the prism of what they eat. As you know, we are what we eat. The Daily Express shared 10 cities on the European continent that are worthy of the attention of gourmets from all over the world.

It is noted that the top 10 places were identified during a study by Solo Female Travellers Tours, a travel company that deals only with women.

Paris, France

Paris has long been known as the capital of delicious, varied food. In addition, it should not be forgotten that most confectionery dishes were invented in France. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are many Michelin-starred restaurants in the country's capital. Thus, Paris boasts an index of 74.69, receiving the highest score out of 10 in this top.

Florence, Italy

The selection includes many Italian places. And this is not surprising as Italian cuisine is considered one of the most popular in the world.

Florence is an open-air museum city that is the capital of Tuscany. It received an index of 70.39 and the highest score in a number of categories. Thus, if you come here, be sure to try a local delicacy that is suitable for vegetarians: tagliatelle pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle sauce.
