Vilnius–Zurich Route Returns With Summer Boost

airBaltic has started regular direct flights between Vilnius and Zurich, with the first service taking off on 3 May. The route operates twice a week during May and increases to three weekly flights for the rest of the summer aviation season. It adds another link between Lithuania and Switzerland, connecting Vilnius with the country’s largest airport and one of Europe’s key aviation centres.

The launch was confirmed by Lithuanian Airports, highlighting the growing number of travel options available from Vilnius. Zurich Airport plays a central role in European air travel, offering a wide range of onward connections. The new route strengthens links not only between the two countries but also between Lithuania and a broader international network served through Switzerland.

airBaltic described the service as part of its ongoing network expansion in Lithuania. Zurich remains an important destination for business travel and international connections, and the new flights respond to demand in the Lithuanian market. Officials also noted that improved links with Switzerland may encourage more inbound travel during the summer, particularly from visitors looking to explore Lithuania.
