Tips for Brits vacationing in Spain: what tourists need to know
British tourists planning to visit Spain this year should familiarize themselves with the new rules and guidelines to make their vacation enjoyable and hassle-free. We are talking about three popular destinations - Benidorm, Alicante and Mallorca.
According to Express, Slingo travel experts have prepared a travel guide. These recommendations aim to warn vacationers about some of the rules and laws of the resort country.
Benidorm authorities have banned swimming and staying on the beach from midnight to 7 am. This is due to the risk of accidents, as lifeguards do not work at this time. The fine for violation is from 650 to 1,020 pounds sterling.
Most resorts in Spain have nudist beaches, so getting naked outside these areas can result in a fine of £560.
Drinking alcohol on the beaches of Benidorm is prohibited. This is punishable by a fine of £ 650. Smoking on the beach is also not allowed. Smokers who break the law will have to pay a fine of £1,700.
Britons are also advised to use only registered taxis.
In Alicante, there are fines for loud music on the beach and excessive noise in residential premises, for which you will have to pay 30,000 euros (25,667 pounds). In Mallorca and Ibiza, the authorities are fighting against illegal parties. The fine for organizing, marketing, or attending these events is up to 25,000 pounds.
