Restaurant Bus Tokyo: Enjoy the blooming sakura and exquisite cuisine
The Tokyo Restaurant Bus is a tourist bus that allows people to enjoy Tokyo's sights together while tasting authentic food and drinks. In this double-decker bus with a kitchen below and open-air seating above, passengers look down on Tokyo from a height of three meters (9.8 feet), offering a view of the city unlike any other.
"The Extravagant Sakura Cherry Blossom Experience is returning for its third year due to popular demand. Whether you choose the afternoon or evening course, the route will take you past some of the best places to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo, including Chidorigafuchi Moat, the picturesque moat around Tokyo Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Midtown, a park in the center of Tokyo. You will also visit other city landmarks such as the Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge, and the upscale Ginza shopping district," writes SoraNews24.
During the trip, an experienced guide will share anecdotes and facts about the city, and in the middle of the tour, passengers will be allowed to take a 30-minute break to stretch their legs in Odaiba. The entire tour lasts about three hours, depending on traffic.
Meals have also been carefully planned. You will have the option of choosing a multi-course lunch containing French or Japanese dishes.
The French course includes dishes such as prosciutto rolls, sakura shrimp soup, and quinoa cheese risotto, while the Japanese course includes seasonal dishes such as garden eel and soybean pulp terrine, as well as chirashi zushi (raw seafood on rice). And, of course, dessert is served with both meals! All of this will be served with wine or sake while you explore Tokyo's best sights in the comfort of an ultra-high open-roof bus.
The price for lunch and dinner is the same - 16,800 yen ($111.40) per person (16,500 yen for children), with a minimum reservation of two people. The tours will be available on March 20, March 22-24, March 28-31, and April 4-7. These are exclusive to the spring season and will no doubt be popular, so you may want to book early to make sure you have a seat available. Bookings are already open on the official Willer Travel website, which also has an English-language version, thanks to the recent popularity of the tour among foreign tourists.
