New Jet2.com Service Links Edinburgh with Northern Italy’s Ski Resorts

Starting in February 2026, a new direct flight operated by Jet2.com will run weekly between Edinburgh and Verona during the winter seasons of 2025/26 and 2026/27. The Saturday service provides non-stop access to northern Italy’s alpine region at a time when demand for ski travel traditionally peaks. This is the only direct winter flight linking Edinburgh to Verona, making the journey smoother for travellers by avoiding layovers and bypassing packed transfer airports.
Early flights mean travellers can be swapping airport queues for snow boots by lunchtime, skipping the drag of layovers and getting straight into their winter plans. Launching shortly before the 2026 Winter Olympics, the route also becomes part of a growing winter network from Edinburgh that includes several European alpine destinations. By adding Verona to the schedule, travellers gain easier access to Italy’s Dolomite region, with fewer travel delays and more predictable arrival times during the busiest part of the ski season.
We are experiencing continued demand from skiers and snowboarders clamouring to book the best of the action for this winter and next and our ski flights are selling very well. Verona provides fantastic access to the best ski resorts in the Italian Alps, whether you are a beginner or an expert, with several resorts within easy reach. With perfectly timed flights, we are giving skiers access to the best ski resorts across Europe, and we know our new ski services to Verona from Edinburgh Airport, along with those already on sale, will be a huge hit with snow sports enthusiasts.
From Verona, travellers can make their way to Madonna di Campiglio, a mountain village tucked into the Brenta Dolomites where quiet forests meet ski runs suited for both first-timers and seasoned riders. The village feels more like a cosy cluster of streets you can cross in minutes. Not far off is Val di Fassa, a stretch of alpine valley in Trentino where skiers can jump between towns using a web of lifts that link hundreds of kilometres of snowy trails. Each slope feels like a new route through the mountains, stitched together in one giant snow-covered playground.
Another spot that’s not too far is Cortina d’Ampezzo, where skiers race past jagged mountain cliffs and old-school ski lifts meet postcard-like alpine views. The resort has a long history with international competitions. Just a short ride from Verona, Monte Baldo is where quiet hills meet winter chill. It has postcard views over Lake Garda, a cable car that glides up from Malcesine, and gentle slopes that won’t scare off beginners. A good choice for relaxed days in the snow or family-friendly outings.

The new service simplifies winter travel for Scottish passengers who previously relied on longer routes with multiple transfers to reach Italy’s ski destinations. By reducing total travel time and improving scheduling, the connection also creates more flexibility for weekend breaks and holiday planning. Travellers now have better access to a part of the Alps that is often overlooked in favour of better-known resorts in France and Austria.
