1. Ganghwado Island

When visiting South Korea in the warmer months, we recommend that you include Ganghwado or Ganghwa Island in your list of must-see destinations. This picturesque corner, located in the northwestern part of the country, is famous for its majestic landscapes and unique prehistoric structures.

In the spring, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the enchanting cherry blossoms and go sledding. And if your visit is planned a little earlier, don't miss the wonderful Kanhwa Maeva Festival, dedicated to the flowering of the magical Maeva trees, also known as plum trees!

For history buffs, an undeniable magnet is a visit to the dolmens of Gocheung, Hwasun, and Ganghwa, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Here you can see up to a thousand megalithic tombs dating back to the seventh century BC. No less interesting is a visit to Jongdeungsa Temple, one of the oldest and most symbolic Buddhist temples in the country. 2. Nami Island

If you are a passionate fan of Korean dramas, then Nami Island certainly needs no introduction. This famous island has served as the backdrop for many dramas and movies, including the classic Winter Sonata. Nami is home to numerous tree-lined alleys and gardens and promises stunning scenery at any time of year. Among them are the Ginkgo Alley, the True Love Maple Alley, and the Baekpungmilwon Maple Garden.

3. Damyang County

Damyeong-gun, located in Jeollanam-do Province (South Jeolla), is a unique place for a relaxing vacation in South Korea. This city is famous for its magnificent bamboo forests and cultural attractions. For example, Juknokwon, which is the largest bamboo forest in the country, offers guests dense bamboo groves and winding paths, as well as Seosewon Garden, which is a wonderful example of traditional Korean gardening from the Joseon Dynasty.

You will be impressed by the 8.5 kilometer boulevard surrounded by Metasequoia trees on both sides of the road. To make your stay here even more unforgettable, try to catch a strawberry picking (available in spring) or stay overnight in a traditional Korean hanok house in one of the Ham Damyeong villages.

4. Boseong County

Poseong County, also known as Poseong County, is another picturesque spot ideal for a romantic getaway. Located in Jeollanam-do Province (South Jeolla), it is known as the green tea capital of South Korea. This region has deservedly earned its reputation for its charming tea plantations and farms.

The most popular places are the largest plantation, Taekhan Davon, the village of Poson Ganggol, which has perfectly preserved the spirit of ancient times; Yulpo Beach with lush pine trees. Immersing yourself in the world of the best tea against the backdrop of amazing views - what could be better for a long-awaited vacation!

5. Gurye County

Guryeo-gun, or Guryeo County, is an amazing place to get a unique experience. Among the famous attractions are the Sasongam Hermitage Buddhist Monastery and the main monastery. In addition, there is the Guryeo Sansu village, where you can immerse yourself in the unique cultural heritage of Guryeo.

If your visit falls in March or April (depending on the year), you can join the Gurier Sansou Festival, a flower festival dedicated to the magnificent blooming of the golden Sansou trees.

6. Namwon-si

Namwon-si, or simply Namwon, located outside the famous Chirisan National Park, is a small city with a rich range of activities for visitors.

Here you can eat in a traditional healing village, bathe in rejuvenating hot springs, and hike or bike through vast forests and scenic routes.

In addition to its natural beauty, Namwon also has attractions that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the region, such as Gwanghallu Pavilion, which was built in the 14th century, and the Kim Ben Jeong Art Museum, which displays works from different countries alongside Korean artworks.

7. Sokcho-si

10. Jinhae-gu

The Jinhae-gu district of Changwon is best known for its annual cherry blossom festival, which usually takes place from March to April each year. Also, the Chinhae Cherry Blossom Festival is the largest and most popular festival in South Korea where you can enjoy the sight of these iconic flowers! Visit gorgeous locations such as Gyeonghwa Station (Sakura Blossom Road), Yeochwachon Creek, and NFRDI's Chinhae Ecological Park to experience the unique beauty of the magical pink cherry trees.
