Carnival Announces 2027/28 Cruise Routes Spanning Caribbean and Europe
Carnival Cruise Line has released details of its 2027/28 schedule, outlining a mix of Caribbean and European sailings. The program includes a solar eclipse voyage aboard Carnival Miracle, departing Dover on July 29, 2027. Before its European season, the ship will operate from Galveston, Texas, with routes to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. Carnival Paradise and Carnival Elation will continue short-haul operations from Florida ports, maintaining access to established regional destinations.
Starting in late March 2027, Carnival Miracle will conduct four- to ten-day cruises from Galveston before beginning a 14-day transatlantic voyage to Lisbon. During summer, the vessel will be based in Dover, covering routes across Northern Europe, the British Isles, and Scandinavia, later shifting to Civitavecchia for Mediterranean departures. A scheduled 11-day sailing from Dover coincides with the August 2, 2027 solar eclipse, offering a sea-based viewing opportunity.
“While there will be many ways to view the Aug. 2 solar eclipse, seeing it from Carnival Miracle will definitely be the most fun way to do so. Along with the great summer 2027 season in Europe, the combination of our large and diverse fleet and roster of U.S. homeports allows us to bring more variety and adventure to the 2027/28 season."
The expanded deployment includes a wider selection of European ports. Routes will visit cities such as Porto, Bilbao, Bordeaux, and Zeebrugge, as well as Mediterranean destinations in Greece, Croatia, and Turkey. By including these destinations, Carnival expands its presence throughout northern and southern Europe. The itineraries feature a blend of cultural, historical, and seaside destinations, showing Carnival’s intention to balance its classic routes with fresh travel choices for the next cruise season.
From U.S. homeports, Carnival Paradise and Carnival Elation will continue regular operations from Tampa and Jacksonville, focusing on short Caribbean getaways. Their routes include Nassau, Cozumel, and Key West, as well as new additions such as Celebration Key and Relax Island on Half Moon Cay. These routes improve convenience for regional travelers and help maintain strong interest in trips from the southeastern United States to island destinations throughout the year.
