United Airlines has announced its Summer 2026 schedule, which includes new nonstop flights from Newark/New York to Split in Croatia, Bari in Italy, Glasgow in Scotland, and Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The airline will also add a new connection between Washington-Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland, along with increased services to Seoul, South Korea, and Tel Aviv, Israel. These additions reinforce United’s position as the U.S. carrier with the widest transatlantic reach.

Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, said the airline now serves 46 European destinations – more than any other U.S. carrier. Next summer, United plans close to 3,000 international round trips each week, keeping attention on both well-known destinations and smaller cities across Europe. Its expanded summer schedule will operate with Boeing 767-300ER, 757-200, 737 MAX 8, and 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Each new route has its own appeal. Split welcomes visitors with its seaside promenades and the historic Diocletian’s Palace. Bari opens the way to Puglia’s relaxed rhythm, from coastal towns to whitewashed hill villages. Glasgow’s mix of art, music and architecture adds energy, while Santiago de Compostela brings history to life through its old streets and cathedral. Reykjavik, Seoul, and Tel Aviv further balance business and leisure travel options.

With new nonstop connections, many cultural and natural landmarks become easier to reach. Travellers can wander through Split’s harbour and nearby islands, explore Bari’s Old Town, take in Glasgow’s mix of art and live music, or walk the medieval lanes of Santiago de Compostela. In Reykjavik, visitors can enjoy volcanic landscapes, soak in hot springs, or watch the Northern Lights – a reminder of how varied Europe’s summer journeys can be.

United’s new routes reflect how air travel across the Atlantic is moving towards experiences that blend culture, scenery, and comfort. The launch of flights to Split, Bari, Glasgow, and Santiago de Compostela offers passengers a wider choice of European cities to visit, providing more straightforward ways to experience local life and traditions.
