New European Destinations Open from Wrocław Airport

Wizz Air plans to station a third Airbus A321neo at Wrocław Airport beginning in June 2026. This comes after the previously announced routes to Gran Canaria, Catania, and Ohrid. Additionally, three new destinations Reykjavik, Dortmund, and Varna will be introduced. The airline will also expand frequencies on current services to Barcelona, Bari, Tirana, and Malaga. Tickets for all flights are available on the airline’s website and mobile app, allowing travelers to access the updated timetable.
Since starting operations from Wrocław in 2006, Wizz Air has transported nearly seven million passengers. With the third aircraft, the airline will operate 22 routes across 17 countries, which brings several changes to the network:
- Greater capacity on flights from Wrocław
- Expanded connections to European destinations
- Higher frequency of services on key routes

The new routes provide access to specific locations for travelers. In Reykjavik, passengers can visit the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, explore the Reykjanes Peninsula, and observe the Northern Lights. In Dortmund, tourists have the opportunity to visit Westfalenpark with its rose gardens, ascend the Florianturm observation tower, and see the seasonal Christmas markets. In Varna, travelers can stroll along the Sea Garden promenade, spend time enjoying Golden Sands Beach, and explore the historic waterfront area. Travelers can enjoy various leisure experiences beyond the usual city centers.
Higher flight frequencies on current routes also provide more travel options. In Barcelona, visitors can walk along Barceloneta Beach, explore Parc de la Ciutadella, and view the modernist buildings in the Eixample district. Bari provides access to the narrow streets of the old town, panoramic views from the Basilica di San Nicola, and the lively seafront promenade. In Malaga, visitors can walk the Palmeral de las Sorpresas, climb to Gibralfaro Castle, and explore the Mercado Central de Atarazanas. These improvements make previously popular destinations more accessible and convenient to plan.

The additional flights from Wrocław Airport increase the number of travel options available to passengers. The additional aircraft, new destinations, and increased frequencies allow travelers to reach both established and emerging locations more efficiently. By providing a wider selection of routes and access to key attractions across Europe, the changes enhance connectivity while supporting regional air transport infrastructure. The updated schedule provides passengers with more flight options and greater flexibility when planning trips, while keeping existing services unchanged.
