Hamburg Gets Direct Route to Kalamata for Summer 2026
Condor is adding a new direct flight between Hamburg and Kalamata, with the first departure scheduled for 1 May 2026. The route reconnects northern Germany with the Greek Peloponnese just as the summer season begins. Flights will initially run once a week on Fridays, giving passengers a straightforward way to reach the region without changing planes along the way.
From 6 July 2026, the airline will increase the schedule to two flights a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Departures are set for early morning, with flights leaving Hamburg at 06:25 on Fridays and 05:55 on Mondays. The flight takes around three hours, making Kalamata an easy option for a direct trip south without a long journey.
Kalamata works as a practical base for exploring the Peloponnese. The city has a long seafront with beaches and cafés, while the old town shows a different, more historic side of the area. Outside the city, the region opens up quickly, with mountain routes, coastal drives and well-known places like Olympia, Sparta and Mystras all within reach.

With two flights a week, there is more room to plan around work or short breaks, whether it is a quick trip or a longer stay in the region.
