flydubai Launches New Flights to Nairobi and Daily Service to Mombasa

flydubai announced it will start direct flights between Dubai and Nairobi on 15 October 2025. The connection will operate four times per week from Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. At the same time, the airline will increase its service to Mombasa, moving from four weekly flights to daily operations beginning 1 October. With these adjustments, the total number of flights between Dubai and Kenya will rise to eleven per week.
The introduction of Nairobi to the route map marks an extension of flydubai’s East African network. Mombasa, already part of the schedule, will now be served with more frequent flights. The additional flights give travelers more opportunities to travel between the United Arab Emirates and Kenya. These adjustments showcase the airline’s growth strategy and give passengers increased convenience and a wider range of choices when traveling between Dubai and Kenya’s primary cities.
Nairobi, Kenya's capital and largest city, is a regional center for business, politics, and culture. It is home to government institutions, international companies, and diplomatic missions, making it an important destination for corporate travel. In addition to its administrative function, Nairobi has cultural institutions such as the National Museum of Kenya and contemporary art spaces. The city is also known for its proximity to Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife reserve located just outside the urban area.
Mombasa, Kenya's main coastal city, is different from Nairobi. The old town, known for its trading history and Swahili cultural influence, is characterized by narrow streets and traditional architecture. Mombasa is also a starting point for tourists heading to nearby beach resorts, including Diani and Nyal. The introduction of daily flights makes the coastal region easier to reach for travelers from Dubai and strengthens its integration into flydubai's network.
Introducing Nairobi flights together with more frequent Mombasa services highlights the growing connections between the Middle East and East Africa. This development enhances Kenya's links with a major international hub. For travelers, the updated timetable gives more options and simpler access to Kenya’s two main cities. This trend shows how airlines are adapting their schedules to meet growing demand for routes catering to both business travelers and tourists.
