Bratislava Adds Direct Routes to the Caribbean and Vietnam

DERTOUR SK has announced a new partnership with TUI Airways for long-haul winter flights using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. From the 2026/27 winter season, Fischer and KARTAGO tours will offer direct services out of Bratislava Airport to the Dominican Republic and Vietnam’s Phu Quoc island, without an intermediate stop.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner will be used in a 305-seat layout for the tour operators’ long-haul programme. DERTOUR SK said the aircraft was chosen because it can reach both destinations directly, giving holidaymakers a different travel experience compared with previous exotic holiday flights that required an extra landing along the way.
The aircraft will offer four cabin options: Business Smart, Comfort Plus, Comfort and Economy. Every seat will have its own screen and USB port, while the inflight entertainment system will include films with Czech subtitles. TUI Airways said its Dreamliner and cabin crew will support the new programme for travellers heading abroad with Fischer and KARTAGO tours.
The new flights will make two major winter holiday destinations easier to reach for Slovak customers. The Dominican Republic brings Caribbean beaches and resort stays within a direct flight of Bratislava, while Phu Quoc offers island beaches, tropical scenery and access to Vietnam without starting the trip through another European airport.
The change is mainly about time, comfort and fewer moving parts. Direct long-haul flights reduce the risk of missed connections, shorten the journey and make faraway winter holidays easier to plan. For Bratislava Airport, the Dreamliner programme also adds a stronger long-haul offer at a time when many travellers want warm-weather breaks without complicated routes.
