ASEAN Launches Digital Platform to Support Regional Travel
The "Discover Asean" digital platform was launched on August 8, 2025, at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, as a joint effort by the travel platform MOVE and the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA). Introduced on the occasion of ASEAN’s 58th anniversary, the effort convened leaders from tourism agencies, regional bodies, and industry players. Its key objective is to facilitate easier regional travel and better connectivity between Southeast Asian countries.
The platform is embedded in the MOVE app and provides official, verified resources for all ten ASEAN member states. Travellers can benefit from:
- Localised advice on staying healthy and safe while travelling.
- Guides highlighting cultural attractions and traditional cuisine.
- Tools for reserving flights, lodging, and ground transport in one place.
