Wizz Air Adds Bratislava Flights from Berlin
Wizz Air has launched a new route connecting Berlin Brandenburg Airport with the Slovak capital Bratislava. The flights began on 16 March 2026 and operate four times per week using Airbus A321neo aircraft. Services run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a flight time of around one hour and fifteen minutes. The airline says the new connection expands travel options between Germany and Slovakia.
The Bratislava route forms part of a broader expansion of Wizz Air’s summer 2026 schedule from Berlin. The airline is increasing the number of destinations served from the airport while also raising flight frequencies on several existing routes. Daily flights to Bucharest continue from the winter schedule, while additional seats and services are being added on other routes across Central and Eastern Europe.
New Wizz Air destinations from Berlin in summer 2026
- Bratislava – four weekly flights starting 16 March
- Tuzla – three weekly flights starting 30 March
- Cluj-Napoca – three weekly flights starting 31 March
- Timișoara – two weekly flights starting 21 May
- Bucharest – daily service continuing from winter schedule
Alongside the new routes, Wizz Air is increasing capacity on several existing connections. Flights to Belgrade will rise to five per week, while services to Chișinău will gradually expand to seven weekly departures. The airline is also adding extra frequencies on the Tirana route, reaching up to ten flights per week, and increasing seat capacity on flights to the Bulgarian seaside city of Varna.
The new route to Bratislava places travellers within easy reach of one of Central Europe’s compact capitals. The Old Town lies along the Danube, with baroque buildings, narrow streets and small squares gathered around the riverfront. Its location near Austria and Hungary also makes it convenient for short trips to nearby cities such as Vienna and Győr.
The short flight time also makes the route suitable for quick trips between Germany and Slovakia. Berlin now has a direct connection with the Slovak capital, while Bratislava gains another regular link with one of Europe’s largest cities. The new service also appears alongside several additional Wizz Air routes scheduled to start from Berlin during the 2026 summer timetable.
