Bratislava Expands Africa Network to Five Countries

Bratislava Airport is expanding its Africa network for autumn and winter 2026/27, giving Slovak travellers direct access to Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Tanzania and Kenya. Senegal returned on 2 October after a four-year break, while Mombasa will join the programme in February 2027 as Bratislava’s first direct Kenya connection. The wider mix combines tour-operator charters with new scheduled low-cost routes.
Bratislava’s New Africa Connections
- Senegal: Smartwings for Hydrotour; eight rotations during October and November.
- Agadir: Wizz Air and Ryanair; both begin direct services in late October.
- Hurghada: Wizz Air from 26 October, twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays; Air Cairo also serves the route.
- Mombasa: Čedok charter programme from February 2027, operated by Electra Airways.
- Other winter links: Zanzibar and Marsa Alam continue as part of the seasonal programme.
- Countries served: Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Tanzania and Kenya.
The Senegal programme is sold through Hydrotour and includes eight nonstop rotations during October and November. Wizz Air’s Hurghada service operates twice weekly, while Agadir gains scheduled options from both Wizz Air and Ryanair. That gives independent travellers more flexibility than the Senegal and Kenya charters, which are tied to tour-operator programmes rather than a regular year-round schedule.
The expanded network covers very different winter trips. Senegal brings Atlantic beaches, Dakar and Bandia Nature Reserve, while Agadir offers access to Souk El Had, Taghazout and Morocco’s coast. Hurghada and Marsa Alam suit Red Sea beach and diving holidays, Zanzibar adds Indian Ocean resorts, and the new Mombasa charter will make Kenya’s coastline easier to combine with safari trips.
Agadir and Hurghada can be booked as regular scheduled flights, while Senegal and the new Kenya service are tied to tour-operator packages. That matters if you prefer arranging hotels and transfers yourself. Check how each route is sold before booking the rest of the trip, especially for the limited charter programmes, where dates may be less flexible than on scheduled services.
