TAP Air Portugal will restart scheduled flights between Lisbon and Tel Aviv on 29 March 2026, ending a suspension that has been in place since October 2023. The route will operate five times per week, bringing the Portuguese carrier back to one of its key Eastern Mediterranean markets after more than two years without direct service.

The renewed service will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft configured with 168 seats. Flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, meaning the route runs on most days of the week. Flights depart Lisbon in the evening and reach Israel early the following morning. The schedule matches TAP’s current flight pattern and makes it easier to transfer to other services, reducing the amount of time spent waiting between connecting flights.

Flight schedule (local times)

  • Lisbon → Tel Aviv: departure at 20:45, arrival at 04:05 the following day
  • Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) → Lisbon: departure at 05:05, arrival at 09:10

The overnight pattern allows travel in both directions within a single day and aligns with existing short- and long-haul connections available through Lisbon.

Destinations and onward travel

With the route back in operation, Tel Aviv becomes easier to reach for trips focused on the Mediterranean coastline, historic Jaffa, Florentin’s cultural scene, and the city’s well-known food and nightlife districts. The service also supports onward travel within Israel, including Jerusalem, the Dead Sea resorts, and northern destinations such as Haifa and the Galilee. On the European side, Lisbon offers access to Portugal’s Atlantic coast, such as Cascais and the Algarve, along with cities including Porto and Coimbra. Through TAP’s network, travellers can also connect onward to destinations across Southern Europe, Brazil, North America, and parts of West Africa.

The flights are returning after a long pause that followed the suspension of services in 2023. A regular, year-round schedule gives people more certainty when arranging longer stays, visiting relatives, or travelling for work. The Lisbon–Tel Aviv route is returning after more than two years without scheduled direct flights between the two cities.
