Ryanair has unveiled its largest-ever Summer 2026 schedule from Katowice, confirming 26 routes, including four new additions: Malaga, Lamezia Terme, Aarhus and Tirana. The airline will base nine aircraft at the airport next season, three for regular services and six for charter operations. The move marks a further expansion of Ryanair’s presence in southern Poland and strengthens Katowice’s role within the group’s network.

For Summer 2026, the carrier’s investment in Katowice will reach $900 million, linked to the basing of its ninth aircraft in the region. The programme is expected to handle more than 2.2 million passengers per year across scheduled and charter flights. Ryanair states that its activity supports over 1,700 jobs locally, including around 600 direct positions for pilots, cabin crew and ground staff.

“Ryanair continues to expand in Katowice, offering passengers the biggest choice of routes, the lowest fares and the punctuality we’re known for. And this is only the beginning – Katowice will remain a key strategic location for further growth and investment in the years ahead."
Michał Kaczmarzyk, CEO Buzz (Ryanair Group)

Katowice remains one of Ryanair’s key operational bases in Poland. Three aircraft will operate the regular route network, while six will focus on charter services, reflecting strong demand in both segments. The airline describes the airport as one of its fastest-growing locations in the country. Tickets for the Summer 2026 programme are already available on ryanair.com and via the Ryanair mobile app.

Katowice Summer 2026 at a glance:

  • 26 routes in total
  • 4 new destinations: Malaga, Lamezia Terme, Aarhus, Tirana
  • 9 based aircraft (3 scheduled, 6 charter)
  • $900m investment in the region
  • 2.2 million+ passengers annually
  • 1,700+ jobs supported, including 600 direct

The new links widen the map for southern Poland. Direct access to Malaga opens up Spain’s Costa del Sol, while Lamezia Terme provides a gateway to Calabria’s coastline and hill towns. Aarhus adds a Scandinavian city break option, and Tirana creates a straightforward route to Albania’s Adriatic coast. Together with the existing network, the expanded schedule gives residents and visitors more direct choices next summer.

The announcement confirms further expansion at Katowice Airport and a stronger long-term presence of Ryanair in the Silesian region. With more aircraft based on site and a longer list of routes, the airport is set to offer more departures and better capacity during the busiest summer weeks. Anyone looking at summer 2026 can pick from more non-stop routes and reach a wider mix of cities without changing planes along the way.
