Frost and snowstorms: The UK is expecting a sudden change in weather

The west coast of the country will also be affected by the weather. The latest weather maps from WXCharts show that the temperature drop will begin in the evening of February 20, and the first precipitation in the form of snow is expected on the northwest coast of Scotland the next day.

By Thursday morning, snow will cover a large part of the country, from Cairngorms in the east to the west coast. Winds will increase throughout the day, reaching 60 mph in England and Wales and 20 mph in Scotland.

Light snowfall is also expected over the weekend, but mostly in small areas in central Scotland. In other parts of England and Wales, hail is more likely.
