Emirates is set to increase its flight operations to Barcelona by adding a third daily service starting on 26 October 2025. The decision follows a rise in traveler demand on the route connecting Dubai and the Spanish seaside destination. At the moment, the airline flies to Barcelona and Madrid 14 times per week each, deploying Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

The new daily flight aims to improve connectivity for passengers traveling to Barcelona and other destinations. Through Dubai, Emirates’ wide-reaching network connects travelers to well-known locations such as:

  • Maldives
  • Bangkok
  • Bali
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore

By increasing the number of flights, the airline seeks to provide travelers with more choices and added flexibility in organizing their trips.

With the increased service, tourists will have greater ease exploring several of Barcelona’s notable outdoor attractions. Visitors can take a walk through Montjuïc Park, famous for its gardens and sweeping views of the city and harbor, stroll along the picturesque seaside promenade at Port Vell, or unwind amid the greenery of Ciutadella Park. These locations provide a diverse range of outdoor activities that highlight the city’s natural charm and lively ambiance.

The additional flight also provides greater opportunity to enjoy Barcelona’s nearby coastal and recreational areas. Travelers can relax at Nova Icària Beach with its calm waters and seaside bars, stroll through the historic streets and markets of El Born, or set off on a short boat trip from the Port Olímpic area. These nearby areas add to the overall travel experience for those flying into Barcelona.

With more people taking to the skies, Emirates is updating its timetable to make travel planning easier. For travelers, the extra flight means reduced layover times and enhanced convenience when connecting through Dubai. Overall, the added frequency supports a smoother travel experience and strengthens links between the Middle East, Spain, and other international destinations, benefiting both leisure and business travelers.
