EDITION Moves Beyond Hotels with Series of Beach Events in Ibiza
A two-week programme of public events will take place from 15 to 31 August at El Silencio, a beach venue located on the western coast of Ibiza, in the Cala Molí area. The project, developed in partnership with international hospitality group EDITION, includes outdoor sessions centred on wellness, music and seasonal food. Known as The Summer EDITION, the event is part of a wider series of brand-led activations taking place in non-hotel settings during peak travel months.
According to organisers, the temporary format will consist of non-residential activities available during daytime hours. The schedule includes the following elements:
- Yoga sessions held outdoors
- Guided breathwork classes
- Curated soundtracks throughout the venue
- Live music performances
- Informal food and beverage service
There is no requirement for accommodation bookings or prior registration. The event is described as a short-term test run aimed at providing daytime activities that are easy to join for both local residents and visitors from abroad.
A short walk from the venue leads to Cala Molí Beach, where a strip of small stones runs between steep rocky walls along the coast. The beach has calm, transparent water and usually stays quiet, even during the summer months. Nearby, Mirador de Cala Molí offers a raised spot where visitors can see the coastline and open water without obstruction. Both spots can be accessed by walking and allow visitors to spend time outdoors without needing transport, bookings or fixed schedules.
A bit further along the shore, Cala Codolar has wide flat rocks and gentle water depths, commonly used for evening swims or quiet sunbathing. Es Pujolets lies to the north and is a little-visited stretch with uneven rocky paths and open views of the sea, often used by those following quiet walking routes along the coast. These sites are situated within the same zone as the venue and require no equipment or guides to explore.
The Cala Molí residency marks the first instalment in what is expected to become a recurring series of seasonal activations led by EDITION in multiple destinations. As part of Ibiza’s busy summer schedule, the initiative adds another daytime choice during periods of high visitor numbers. The format could suit self-guided travellers who stay in private rentals or smaller accommodations and prefer flexible cultural activities without needing to book in advance.
