Ryanair detailed several adjustments to its Gdańsk operations for the Summer 2026 timetable, including plans to station a sixth aircraft at the airport and increase the number of seats available on its routes. The update, valued at approximately 600 million dollars, increases the number of seats by more than 300,000. These decisions form part of the airline’s internal planning for the coming summer period and indicate a shift in how its northern Polish operations will be organised.

According to the published schedule, the carrier will operate 43 routes from Gdańsk, including five newly added destinations. These new services are:

  • Rome
  • Palermo
  • Dubrovnik
  • Tirana
  • Bucharest

Ryanair plans to increase frequencies across 17 existing routes. These combined adjustments signal a redistribution of capacity across the airline’s European network, reflecting anticipated demand during the peak season.

With the new network, travelers can go directly to many areas without having to connect at larger hubs. This connection to Dubrovnik links travellers with Croatia’s southern coast, where older town areas sit alongside stretches of shoreline popular with visitors. Palermo is the gateway to Sicily, where visitors can plan structured itineraries around cultural districts and coastal areas. Rome has a lot of different trip lengths to choose from, and Bucharest is a simple way to get to southeastern Europe.

Tirana’s addition adds access to Albania, a destination that has seen increasing travel interest. The city connects travellers to nearby mountain routes, coastal areas such as Durrës and expanding cultural districts. With more travellers considering alternatives to Western Europe’s usual holiday centres, the addition of this route gives passengers another option when arranging their trips. A wider choice of direct flights means passengers can complete journeys without extra connections, which generally shortens the time spent in transit.

The adjustments will increase the number of direct services available from Gdańsk during the 2026 summer season. Additional capacity may make it easier for passengers to choose suitable dates and destinations, while the larger route map supports different kinds of travel plans. Taken together, the updates reflect how regional airports in Poland are gradually becoming part of wider European flight patterns through step-by-step schedule modifications.
