Corendon Cuts Antalya Flights from Three UK Airports in 2027
Corendon Airlines will stop flying to Antalya from London Gatwick, Birmingham and Newcastle in summer 2027, reducing its UK Antalya programme from six departure airports to three. The Turkish leisure carrier says the reduction follows a difficult year shaped by geopolitical uncertainty, high fuel costs and changing demand. Flights to Antalya will continue from Glasgow, Manchester and London Stansted, so the airline is scaling back rather than leaving the UK market.

The 2027 programme keeps Antalya flights twice weekly from Glasgow and three times a week from both Manchester and Stansted. Corendon is also ending some aircraft agreements, reducing its overall fleet and UK capacity. The airline describes the move as a short-term response and plans to review trading conditions again in January, with Birmingham, Newcastle and Gatwick potentially returning if conditions improve.
The Gatwick change applies specifically to Antalya, not Corendon’s entire operation at the airport. Crete services are due to continue from Gatwick, while Manchester also retains Corendon’s Crete route. Travellers who normally use Birmingham or Newcastle for Antalya should compare any replacement option with the cost of reaching another departure airport, including rail fares, parking and overnight accommodation, before deciding whether switching airports is worthwhile.
If Corendon cancels a UK-departing flight, passengers must be offered a refund or rerouting regardless of how far in advance the cancellation is announced. Fixed compensation is different: it normally applies only when passengers receive less than 14 days’ notice and other conditions are met. Anyone notified now about a summer 2027 cancellation would therefore not normally qualify for fixed compensation, but refund and rerouting rights remain.
