British Airways Launches New Daily Route to Abu Dhabi

British Airways has landed at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, marking the start of a new daily route from London Heathrow to the UAE capital. This is the airline's return to Abu Dhabi after a four-year hiatus, and the inaugural flight was greeted with a warm welcome from customers and crew.

The new service will operate year-round, with British Airways using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft during the summer of 2024. This addition to the airline's global network strengthens connections between the UK and the UAE, catering to a wide range of travelers, including those on business, visiting relatives, or enjoying a leisurely trip.

Flight BA073 departs London Heathrow at 22:25 and arrives in Abu Dhabi at 08:30 the next day. The return journey, BA072, leaves Abu Dhabi at 10:10 and lands in London at 15:20. The schedule offers convenient options for travelers in both directions.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO at Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed excitement about British Airways' new daily route. She mentioned that the state-of-the-art terminal at Zayed International Airport would provide a unique introduction to the vibrant culture of the UAE capital, showcasing Emirati hospitality at its finest.
