An incident at Shanghai Pudong International Airport has drawn widespread public attention. A 39-year-old man attacked staff members at the check-in counter after missing his flight.

The situation began to escalate when the man, visibly irritated by the missed flight, approached the check-in counter and demanded an immediate solution to his problem. In the ensuing altercation, the passenger, standing on the baggage scale, started shouting demands at the staff and eventually struck one of the employees.

Other crew members tried to calm the passenger, but their efforts were in vain. The man not only continued to yell but also began demanding cash compensation for his inconvenience.

Police Intervention

As the situation worsened, airport staff called the police. Officers arrived at the scene and managed to detain the offender, although he continued to voice his demands for compensation. The man is currently in custody, and the police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

Public Reaction

The public reaction to the incident at Shanghai airport was overwhelmingly negative. Many condemned the behavior of the 39-year-old man, comparing it to childish tantrums. Commentators actively called for a flight ban for the offender and expressed that such behavior should be punished as strictly as possible. Most users pointed out that the responsibility lay entirely with the passenger, who was late for his flight, and that his actions would not solve the problem but could lead to arrest and long-term consequences, including a lifetime ban from flying.
