Sundair will begin a direct seasonal service between Bremen and Varna on July 1, 2025. The flight will operate once a week, departing every Tuesday at 6:20 a.m., and is scheduled to continue through early September. The route connects northern Germany with the Bulgarian Black Sea coast during the main European holiday period.

The flight duration is approximately two and a half hours. The service is included in Bremen Airport’s summer timetable and expands the list of destinations reachable without a transfer. Operating once per week, the connection enables access to eastern coastal areas of Bulgaria from a regional German airport without the need to pass through larger international hubs.

Once on the ground in Varna, there’s room to wander as coastal views, city corners, and places with a past all sit within reach of the center. The Sea Garden, a large public park along the waterfront, offers walking paths, shaded green spaces, and views over the bay. Not far from the center, the Aladzha Monastery is located in a forested area and can be reached by local transport. The central beach, bordered by cafes and public facilities, is directly accessible from the city.

Varna contains several lesser-visited locations that may be of interest to travelers staying beyond the city center. The Stone Forest, a natural rock formation located about 18 kilometers west of the city, is accessible by regional transport or organized day trips. In the central zone, the City Clock Tower and the nearby Cathedral of the Assumption offer examples of 19th-century architecture. The Asparuhovo Bridge, which spans the canal, provides elevated views of both the industrial port and the Black Sea.

This route is part of a broader pattern in which regional airports adjust their summer offerings to reflect travel demand during holiday periods. Even though it's just once a week and only for a few months, the Bremen to Varna flight opens up a travel route that didn’t exist before for people living in this region of Germany. The continuation of this route in future seasons may depend on its use during the current operational window.
