Qatar Airways Boosts Winter Flights to Key Global Destinations

Qatar Airways confirmed a major update for its winter 2025-2026 season, expanding flights to upwards of 15 international routes. The airline aims to enhance worldwide connections via its primary hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The rise in daily flights to London, now totaling ten per day, is among the most important changes and marks the airline’s highest-ever service to the UK capital.
Several other destinations are included in the expanded schedule offering more frequent departures during the winter period. These include:
- Frankfurt
- Dublin
- São Paulo
- Cape Town
- Canberra (returning to the network)
- Melbourne (new service in cooperation with Virgin Australia)
- Sharjah
- Tokyo Narita
- Johannesburg
Each of these routes reflects increased demand and is designed to support more efficient travel through the Doha hub.
The expanded network allows travelers to explore unique locations around the world. In South Africa passengers arriving in Cape Town can visit the Boulders Penguin Colony walk through the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden or take the rotating cableway up Table Mountain. Each of these destinations offers access to natural scenery and wildlife making them attractive to those looking for outdoor escapes in the southern hemisphere’s summer season.
Flights to Tokyo Narita open access to a variety of experiences in Japan’s capital region. Travelers have the chance to explore Odaiba’s lively waterfront, discover anime and electronics in Akihabara, or appreciate historic buildings and local snacks at Asakusa’s Sensoji Temple. These locations provide a blend of contemporary urban experiences and cultural exploration, all easily reachable by Tokyo’s public transit.

This increase in flight availability offers travelers greater flexibility and convenience. With more frequent departures and arrivals passengers can build itineraries with better connections reduce transit times and access high-demand destinations with greater ease. This winter’s updated flight schedule gives travelers passing through Doha greater flexibility to access a wider variety of destinations around the globe, whether for leisure, business, or layovers.
