New AirAsia Routes Connect Kuala Lumpur to Kozhikode and Guwahati
In a significant expansion of its network in India, AirAsia has announced the introduction of direct flights connecting Kuala Lumpur with the Indian cities of Kozhikode in Kerala and Guwahati in Assam. Scheduled to commence on 1 August 2024, these routes are the airline's latest stride in connecting Southeast Asia with the Indian subcontinent.
The new flight paths represent the 14th and 15th direct services to India by AirAsia, reflecting a growing demand for travel between these regions. The Kuala Lumpur-Kozhikode route will operate three times weekly, as will the Kuala Lumpur-Guwahati route, providing convenient options for both business and leisure travelers.
Kozhikode, historically known as a trading post for spices, is today recognized for its cultural contributions, earning the title of a UNESCO City of Literature. Meanwhile, Guwahati is often celebrated as a gateway to Northeast India, a region noted for its natural beauty and religious sites.
In celebration of this expansion, AirAsia has launched a limited-time promotional campaign, offering discounted fares to encourage travel and exploration between the destinations. This offer aligns with the airline's ongoing efforts to make air travel more accessible and to introduce travelers to new destinations.
