Foreigners must pay an entry fee to France: details
From now on, citizens of non-EU countries will have to pay a tourist fee to enter France. Additionally, travelers must have an official letter of invitation from a French resident with whom they plan to stay or confirmation of booking accommodation for the duration of their vacation.
According to the French government, such requirements apply to short-term visas of type C, which will cost 30 euros. This information was reported by The Sun.
Furthermore, under the new rules, foreigners must pay 75.05 euros upon entering the country. This document is issued by the police and provided by an authorized person inviting them to the country. It is noted that an additional fee of 7 euros is charged for obtaining the document at the police station.
Therefore, foreign citizens will be able to travel in France for up to 3 months. However, there are certain circumstances under which visitors to the country are required to have additional documents depending on the purpose of their stay. Specifically, if you need to provide your data and status, you should have a passport, visa, and other documents confirming your visit (invitation, sufficient funds for the trip, and a return ticket).
