Avianca Revamps Business Class for Enhanced Global Travel Experience
Avianca has introduced comprehensive enhancements to its Business Class offerings on both twin-aisle (Boeing 787) and single-aisle (A320 family) aircraft. This development marks a significant step in the airline’s commitment to elevating passenger experience on its international and Americas routes.
The revamp introduces the Avianca Insignia concept on its Boeing 787 flights to and from Europe. Passengers in this upgraded cabin will now enjoy flatbed chairs that fully recline, a welcome drink, and a sophisticated dining experience featuring a starter, breakfast, lunch, or dinner with dessert options, complemented by unlimited snacks and a selection of beverages.
Additionally, Avianca has collaborated with the Gunadule indigenous community and the design firm Mola Sasa to create sustainable amenity kits for passengers. These kits are made from recycled PET bottles and include products from Loto del Sur, a beauty brand that celebrates Colombian biodiversity.
According to Manuel Ambriz, Avianca’s Chief Commercial Officer, "Avianca Insignia represents the consolidation of a superior experience aboard one of the most modern aircraft in the world, our Boeing 787." He highlighted the unique design and menu curated by chef Álvaro Clavijo, enhancing the representation of Colombian culture in their service.
Furthermore, starting July 1, Avianca will roll out a new Business Class experience in the first three rows of its single-aisle aircraft, targeting key destinations across the Americas including Santiago, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and major cities in the United States and Canada. This service will feature a main meal, drinks, snack service, and similar comfort elements as the twin-aisle configuration.
This strategic enhancement of Avianca’s Business Class is designed to offer travelers a more luxurious and culturally enriched flight experience, while also emphasizing the airline's focus on sustainability and cultural inclusion. As Avianca continues to expand its footprint in key global markets, these upgrades are expected to significantly enhance its competitive edge in the international aviation market.
