Qatar Airways Restores Helsinki and Haneda Flights
Qatar Airways will resume services to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda on 15 July, adding two returning destinations to its summer network. The airline says the restart will take its global schedule beyond 160 destinations across six continents. Both routes will begin with four weekly flights before moving to daily operations in August, giving passengers more choice through Doha.
Flight Schedule
The first phase will give both returning routes four weekly flights before daily services begin in August. Qatar Airways has confirmed the following schedules:
- Doha–Helsinki: QR301 departs 08:40 and arrives 15:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays;
- Helsinki–Doha: QR302 departs 17:05 and arrives 00:05 on the same days;
- Doha–Tokyo Haneda: QR812 departs 07:50 and arrives 00:05 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays;
- Tokyo Haneda–Doha: QR813 departs 01:35 and arrives 06:45 on the same days.
The Helsinki route will begin with four weekly flights before increasing to seven weekly services on 1 August. The Tokyo Haneda route will follow the same pattern, returning alongside Qatar Airways’ existing Tokyo Narita service. The airline says the additions will improve connections through Doha for passengers travelling between Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Kenya and Southeast Asia.
The Helsinki return improves access to Finland’s capital, its harbour, design district, islands and wider rail links across the country. Haneda gives Tokyo-bound passengers a closer airport for central districts such as Ginza, Shibuya and Shinjuku, while also helping onward journeys across Japan. The routes may be especially useful for passengers connecting through Doha from Australia, Kenya, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The schedule gives Qatar Airways two strong summer additions without relying on brand-new destinations. Helsinki brings a northern European route back into the network, while Haneda adds a second Tokyo airport with better city access for many passengers. The gradual move to daily flights also gives travellers clearer options for late-summer plans, especially where connection times matter.
