Vietjet has launched a direct air connection between Hanoi and Xi’an, two cities known for their deep cultural roots and architectural heritage. The new route started operating on July 6, 2025, and is expected to improve travel between Southeast and East Asia by offering a quicker and more direct alternative to previous journeys with multiple stops. The move opens additional access for travelers interested in exploring these historically rich urban centers.
With four weekly round trips, the new connection makes getting between the cities much faster. The flight schedule is arranged to support overnight travel in both directions, providing flexibility for trip planning. Flight schedule:
- From Hanoi to Xi’an: Departs at 21:25 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; arrives at 01:10 the following day
- From Xi’an to Hanoi: Departs at 02:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; arrives at 04:10 the same day (local time)
Getting to Xi’an’s historic and cultural highlights is becoming more convenient for visitors. This landmark from the Tang era stands as one of Xi’an’s clearest links to the spread of Buddhism in ancient China.
