Travel Fair Returns to PAD Airport with Flight and Holiday Updates

Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport will stage a prominent travel fair on May 3 and 4, 2025, showcasing more than 60 tourism-related exhibitors. Hosted right in the airport terminal, the event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of travel options, with a focus on sunny destinations in Turkey, Spain, and Greece. International hotel groups, travel agencies, and tourism service providers will present current offers for the upcoming holiday season.
One of the key features of the event will be the presence of the skyhub PAD initiative, which is working to secure the continuation of the airport’s connection to Munich. The route is considered an important link for regional air traffic, and visitors will be able to receive information on its current status and future prospects directly at the initiative’s stand. Coral Travel will serve as the fair’s main sponsor, while Freebird Airlines will also participate, adding to the presence of international aviation partners at the airport.
The fair will also serve as a day out for families, with a diverse supporting programme designed for both children and adults. Highlights include the ZDF entertainment show "Rabi Rudi geht schwimmen" and the popular Krümelmonster Truck, both appearing on Saturday. On Sunday, children can enjoy face painting activities. Throughout the weekend, additional attractions will include a mini-disco featuring mascots, a balloon artist hosted by alltours, a carousel, bouncy castles, and an array of food trucks offering snacks and refreshments.
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in guided airport tours on both days, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the terminal’s operations. These tours have been a popular feature at previous editions of the fair. For those interested in booking a holiday during the event, special discounted rates will be available. Every booking made on site will include a free parking ticket for the traveler’s next trip from PAD Airport, providing additional incentive for early reservations.
Due to the travel fair, public transport access will be adjusted temporarily. Between April 30 and May 4, the regional bus line S60 will not be stopping directly at the terminal. Instead, a temporary substitute stop will be set up at Alten Hellweg, with signage in place to guide visitors to the correct location during the event period.
